SKYCTC Hosted 6th Annual African-American Read-In SKYCTC welcomed transracial adoptee, author, and educator Mariama J. Lockington on Wednesday, February 24th on Microsoft Teams for the 6th Annual African American Read-In. During the one-hour event, Lockington read from her debut middle grade novel For Black Girls Like Me. She also shared passages from other African American authors who have inspired her. Several participants shared poems from favorite African American poets as well.
